A Thousand Arms
When sitting down to meditate tonight, a spontaneous flow of gratitude carved out these few verses. (Sept, 2024)
A thousand set of arms, I wish I had to serve, You gave but never asked, Far more than I deserve.
The ocean keeps no score, Of endless thread-like silver, Rivers, on their serpentine course, Towards the final giver.
The sun smiles upon all, Silent sustenance and grace, Filtering through karmic clouds, A healing touch, a warm embrace.
Even oceans may run dry, One day the glow will wane, Yet you’re still overflowing, With love that can’t contain.
I can never repay Such kindness in kind, A thousand arms grow weary, May a thousand more I find.
As long as you exist, In your favour I will be, When you’re nowhere to be seen, You’re free, with me, eternally.
